What’s News? May 2022

May 01, 2022

I’m claiming #MayIsMyMonth, and I’m happy to share!

I dropped this graphic last month out in the internet streets last month, but never got into the nitty gritty of it. Allow me to hit the highlights of what these things to mean to me.

My Charity Why:

My heart has always been bigger than my wallet.

There are many opportunities, organizations and efforts I would love to be able to support and create more freely, but the way my bank account is set up right now…

Being able to do so without having to check my balance first is my goal.

My Professional Why:

I LOVE typing, which is remarkable considering the struggle I had in learning how to! I’ve been doing it for 40 years, and it has been a core part of my creative process in many forms and services.

My Nutritional Why:

I’ve developed a love-hate relationship with food; I blame the panini.

I literally want someone to feed me. I love to eat, but hate to shop / meal prep / cook and clean up. I’d rather devote my times to other things, like business / personal development and my creative side.

My Financial Why:

To shop, spend, support, donate, invest, create and build generational wealth.

My Business Why:

The initial spark of entrepreneurship was borne out of losing my job once. I wanted to ensure more control over the choices in my life, the ability to execute my own ideas, and the options to find or create opportunities.

My Real Estate Why:

Having been driven from what I called home, I need the security of ownership and knowing know that no one can take my home from me ever again.

I also want work / live and studio properties in several major cities, so when I begin to travel again, I’ll always have somewhere to stay that feels like home!

My Self-Care Why:

I’m #TeamMassage all day! For me, self-care would be a standing spa day appointment, more regular pedicures and the occasional purple braids. I could also use some in-home gym equipment, or at least a treadmill.

My Creative Why:

As a crochet teacher / designer and beader, with a little knitting for good measure, I’ve always wanted a school for handwork. I feel very strongly that the handcrafts should have a home where they can continue to be taught and feed the creativity.

Thank you for letting me share my long but hopefully interesting insights.

I hope they inspire or awaken your whys, and I’d love to hear about them!

My goal as an Operations | Technology Virtual Assistant / Consultant is to partner with people who need project-based support that moves the needle.

I fill the gap where you:

  • don’t have the budget for the expenses of a full-time employee
  • are stuck or have a bottleneck in your business
  • who have a hair-or-fire issue to be resolved
  • need a big-picture assessment of what’s working and what’s not
  • need to upgrade a product / service that works better
  • need a business buddy to brainstorm through a project / service
